Who is HA-75 for?
HA-75 is formulated for smaller horses and ponies, and as a maintenance dose for younger horses who have completed a loading period on SSN HA-150. It is NOT a lower-cost substitute for HA-150 — horses needing full-dose daily support should use HA-150.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA)/ Sodium Hyaluronate

Hyaluronic Acid is an integral component of joint cartilage and joint fluid, providing both lubrication and shock absorption. Hyaluronic acid is what makes joint fluid “sticky.” Because it has been shown to maintain cells in the joint, HA is often used during times of particular joint stress like race day or strenuous exercise.

Sodium Hyaluronate is the stable and orally absorbable form of Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid has an important role in many physiological functions: cell protection and lubrication, structural integrity of tissues, cell and molecule transport, cell mitigation, cell function and differentiation, fluid retention and regulation. Hyaluronic Acid is an important component of the intercellular matrix. In joints it is found in the SYNOVIAL FLUID. Synovial fluid carries supplies to the articular cartilage and functions as lubricant (smoother passage of one bone over another) and absorbs shock from high impact work. The role of Hyaluronic Acid in the synovial fluid is to increase its viscoelastic properties (thickness).

How to Use

Knead packet before opening. Administer orally during or after mealtime, with whatever your horse accepts best. Alternatively, may be given via oral syringe or directly from the packet. Pre-measured for a 1,100 lb (500 kg) horse.

For horses 800-1,000 lbs (360-450 kg): 1 packet per day. May be increased to 2 packets daily for 1-2 weeks prior to competition or during periods of increased activity.

For horses 1,100 lbs (500 kg) and over on maintenance: 1 packet per day. Loading period may be extended under the guidance of your veterinarian.
